What is Polocrosse?

Polocrosse is a team sport, played on a horse with a racket similar to a lacrosse stick and a l1506541_1136758703004544_4603949542641372303_narge soft rubber ball. The polocrosse field is 160 yards long and 60 yards wide with a set of goal posts on each end that are 8ft apart. The team that scores the most points by throwing the ball through their opponent’s goal posts is the winner of the game. All players can catch, carry and throw the ball with their racquets. However, only the player at the number 1 position is allowed to score. Teams consist of six players each made up of 3 player sections that compete in 6-8 minute chukkas. There are 4-6 chukkas in a given game. The rules are designed with one primary concern: safety — for player and horse.
